설탕을 가열하는 과정에서 탄생한 황금빛 달콤함, 카라멜. 10~11세기 아랍 지역의 설탕 가공 기술을 거쳐 유럽의 제과 문화와 함께 발전한 카라멜은 우유와 크림, 버터를 만나 부드럽고 쫀득한 디저트로 진화했습니다. 특히 스위스의 전통 크림 카라멜은 풍부한 우유의 풍미로 오랜 사랑을 받아왔죠. 이번 프로젝트는 쿠쉘의 ‘쫀득 카라멜 초코쿠키’를 세 가지 패키지 디자인으로 표현했습니다. 첫 번째는 클라이언트가 AI로 생성한 시안을 실제 패키지 디자인으로 구체화한 초콜릿 브라운 콘셉트, 두 번째는 선명한 노란색과 과감한 3D 타이포그래피로 브랜드의 시그니처를 강조한 캐주얼 콘셉트입니다. 세 번째는 유럽의 클래식한 제과 문화에서 영감을 받아 고전 판화 일러스트와 금박 장식을 적용한 아이보리 앤티크 콘셉트입니다. 하나의 제품, 세 가지 디자인. 컬러와 타이포그래피, 그래픽에 따라 달라지는 패키지 디자인의 매력을 소개합니다.

Caramel, the golden sweetness created by heating sugar, has evolved over centuries alongside confectionery traditions. From sugar-processing techniques developed in the Arab world around the 10th and 11th centuries to the sophisticated dessert culture of Europe, caramel eventually became the soft, chewy treat we know today with the addition of milk, cream, and butter. Switzerland, in particular, developed its own rich tradition of creamy caramel confections.

This project explores three distinctive packaging design concepts for COUCHEL's “Chewy Caramel Choco Cookie.” The first concept features a rich chocolate-brown palette, transforming an initial AI-generated design provided by the client into a practical premium packaging design. The second takes a bright, casual approach, combining vibrant yellow with bold 3D typography to create a memorable signature identity. The third draws inspiration from classic European confectionery traditions, featuring an elegant ivory background, vintage engraving-style illustrations, antique gold foil details, and decorative elements. One product, three unique design identities. This project demonstrates how colors, typography, illustrations, and graphic compositions can transform a product's visual identity and influence consumer perception.
